Rev. Dianne Tam is an ordained itinerant elder and member of the St. Stephens African Methodist Episcopal Zion (AMEZ) church in Asbury Park, NJ, where Rev. Derinzer Johnson is the pastor. There she has faithfully served in several ministries; including preaching/teaching, praise/worship, choir directing, teen ministry, and sick/shut-in ministry. She has been married to Mr. King F. Tam for 30 years and they have 1 son, Kenneth.

Rev Tam holds 3 degrees; B.S. in Computer Science from The City College of New York, M.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science, and a B.S.N. (Nursing) from Fairleigh Dickinson University. For most of her career, she has worked as an IT engineer and has taught as an adjunct professor. While employed at AT&T/Lucent, Rev Tam was enlisted in 1994 to lead the Women’s Bible Study at the Holmdel corporate site. During her time at AT&T/Lucent, she also served as a bible teacher for the URBF Bible Study ministry, leading monthly bible study meetings and organizing 3 annual women conferences with attendance of over 100.

As a gospel singer, Rev Tam has performed at various nursing homes, libraries, churches, AT&T corporate sites, and other events. She has sung with the Anointed Graham Family singers and released a gospel single entitled, “Jesus He Rescued Me,” which can be found on CDBaby.com and YouTube.

Rev. Tam believes that since God gives us a life to live on this earth, if we live it for Him we can truly self-actualize and live out all of our innermost dreams and desires.
